Light Within was inspired by the vivid colours and quiet power of the Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone—a place where heat rises through stillness and colour seems to come from deep within the earth.

Layered pigments reflect that natural intensity: glowing reds, oranges, and deep blues radiate outward from the centre. The surface holds both energy and calm, echoing the tension between outer landscape and inner feeling.

This piece is about how we carry light, even when we feel submerged—about the quiet strength that rises from deep inside.

Created after travelling through the U.S., Light Within is a reflection on awe, presence, and the heat that moves beneath the surface of things.
